ZenDog is looking for a full-time Dog Groomer to join our team! We are currently rebuilding and growing our grooming clientele and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us. This is a great opportunity for an experienced groomer who enjoys working in a team-oriented, dog-focused environment and wants the stability of hourly pay while building a consistent grooming schedule. As our grooming department continues to expand, there is plenty of opportunity to build a strong, regular client base. Responsibilities Our groomer will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality grooming services, including: Full-service baths and haircuts Breed-specific and client-requested cuts Nail trims and grinding Ear cleaning De-shedding services Sanitary trims and tidy-ups Brushing and coat maintenance Communicating with clients regarding their dog's grooming needs Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area Recognizing and communicating any skin, coat, behavioral, or health concerns observed during grooming When the grooming schedule is lighter, this position may also assist the ZenDog team with general dog care and facility responsibilities. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has at least 1 year of professional dog grooming experience Is comfortable grooming a variety of breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments Has strong dog-handling skills Is patient and willing to work at the dog's pace Prioritizes safety and the dog's well-being over rushing through appointments Is dependable, professional, and comfortable communicating with clients Works well as part of a team Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace Is interested in continuing to learn and improve Fear Free or low-stress handling experience is a plus, but we are happy to support the right person in continuing their education.
