We are a kennel-free doggy daycare and boarding facility located in Andover, MA since 2005. Our team is growing and we would love to find someone who is passionate about joining or continuing their career in the pet care industry. This position has room for upwards growth and advancement opportunities. We are willing to train a dedicated individual who has a good connection with animals to become an integral part of our business. •Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a reliable means of transportation and a deep rooted love of canines. Please note that due to our shift structure, we are NOT able to hire high school students with standard M-F school schedules. Additionally, we are NOT hiring seasonal employees at this time.• Working along with other team members, handlers are responsible for: Managing a group of off-leash dogs at play. Working primarily outdoors, observing and engaging with dogs to ensure safe and active play. Recognizing appropriate dog-to-dog interaction and intervening when dog play becomes inappropriate. A variety of cleaning tasks to keep the facility sanitized and in working order. Candidates for the dog handler position must: Always treat dogs with patience, kindness and respect. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Be available to work weekends and some holidays. Have a combination of both morning and afternoon availability (as well as occasional overnight availability) during weekdays and weekends. Be willing to work in all types of weather. Be in good health (no dog allergies) and able to stand for a minimum 4 hour shift. Have a cell phone and active email address. Be able to communicate in English orally and in writing. Experience preferred, but not required Able to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for 4-6 hours
