About the Role Jake's Dog Walking and Pet Care, LLC is a bonded and insured pet care company searching for an experienced, industry-ready Dog Groomer to join our team as a W-2 employee. We have a unique, specialized opportunity servicing pets within an upscale senior living community in Brookline, with full, direct access to their dedicated on-site pet spa! Because this role operates independently in a fully equipped spa facility, no training is provided . We are looking for a skilled, compassionate groomer who can step in, execute breed-standard cuts, and deliver a gentle, high-touch experience for our senior clients and their beloved pups. Great Earning Potential:

Earn 55% commission on all grooming services ($37-$55+ / hr range) plus 100% of client tips.

Fully Equipped On-Site Spa:

Work in a comfortable, exclusive facility dedicated to the community's resident pets.

Flexible Hours & Scheduling:

Typically 5 to 9 hours every other week (usually Mondays based on client demand). We are also open and flexible to spreading these hours across multiple days in shorter timeframes if preferred!

Additional Income Streams:

Cross-training opportunities available for dog walking, drop-ins, and overnight sitting if you desire more hours. Key Responsibilities Provide professional, end-to-end grooming services (bathing, drying, styling, scissoring, nail trimming, and ear cleaning). Style pets to breed standards or tailored client preferences. Patiently and gently handle dogs of varying breeds, ages, and temperaments—especially senior pets. Maintain clear, warm, and professional communication with senior community residents and staff regarding expectations and care. Keep the on-site pet spa clean, organized, and sanitary after appointments.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

At least 1 year of professional dog grooming experience required ( Must be industry-ready—no training provided ).

Skills:

Proficient in scissor cuts, styling techniques, and animal behavior/handling.

Senior-Friendly:

Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and warmth when working with senior pet owners.

Location:

Must live in close proximity to Brookline, MA.

Reliability:

Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to commit to the role for at least 6 months.

Tech & Background:
