Dog Walker and Pet Sitter Hounds About Town Brookline, MA Job Details Part-time $100 - $200 a day 15 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Companion animal handling Pet care experience in outdoor settings Driver's License Dog handling Pet care experience in client's home Full Job Description Are you a dog-loving dog walker who wants to work for an established, consistent business? Join our team and enjoy an independent job with your own pack. We take pride in giving dogs their best days, with their friends or on solo walks. It's fun, challenging and gratifying work. One of my main goals is to match walkers and dogs in a similar routine day to day to lessen the stress for all. Your responsibilities include walking dogs or supervising playgroups. Pet sitting is available when and if you want to. The work is typically between 9:30-2 daily (Monday-Friday), sometimes longer hours if you want more work. Being active and strong is important for this work. Being consistent, dependable and on time is important to clients and dogs. Having a sense of adventure is a must and a willingness to walk in all sorts of weather, within reason. We do sometimes close if the weather is bad enough to render the work unsafe. Most Federal Holidays we are closed. This job requires self-discipline and dedication to animals, and a commitment to a consistent schedule. Though there is a lot of independence in this job, training and supervision will be on-going. You need to have a car and be willing to put dogs in your car. Please write a cover letter about why you want to walk dogs for this company. I may not look at applications that don't have a cover letter, so just give me a few words about what you like about dogs and why you may want to be a dog walker. I'm looking for serious dog-lovers who want to connect with animals and give them their best day.
