Job Description

We are passionate about providing dogs with a safe and fun environment in which they are free to socialize with friends and get some exercise while they're at it. We are looking for a motivated team player to join our staff and help us in this mission! The ideal candidate would have daycare or walking experience, but a desire to learn and to help dogs succeed is all that is needed. We provide training on dog behavior, communication, learning theory, and behavior adjustment. These skills take a long time to learn and refine, and so we provide continued on-the-job coaching to help staff feel supported and empowered. While employees are allowed to sit and rest from time to time, each shift will require a lot of walking around and interacting with the dogs, so an energetic and motivated applicant is a must. The ideal candidate would also have solid communication skills, both written and oral, and feel comfortable interacting with clients and other team members. We look to promote a relaxed culture, but also one based on mutual respect and accountability. The ability to perform administrative work is also highly valued, though not required. These tasks can include scheduling dogs, processing payments, providing information about our services and locations, troubleshooting with clients, etc. Dog supervision would need to be mastered first, but administrative work and communication skills can also provide opportunities for career development and upward mobility within the company. Starting pay is between $15 and $17 per hour. This depends heavily on experience, skill set, and responsibilities at job start. Please reach out to us if you are interested. We look forward to speaking with you!
