In this role, you will be responsible for supervising playtime, ensuring animal safety, and providing exceptional care that promotes healthy socialization and happiness. Your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to their well-being will help build a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors/indoors, develop animal handling skills, and contribute to a lively pet community. Duties Supervise dogs during playtime, ensuring safe interactions and preventing conflicts through proper animal handling and restraint techniques Monitor dog behavior closely, recognizing signs of stress or aggression and intervening appropriately to maintain a calm environment Assist with cleaning routines to uphold high standards of hygiene and animal comfort Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sanitizing play areas, and equipment regularly in accordance with pet care facility sanitization protocols Engage with pet owners during check-in/check-out procedures, answer questions about pet care services, and provide excellent customer service Handle heavy lifting tasks related to supplies or equipment Experience Experience in pet sitting, dog training, kennel work, or animal handling provides a strong foundation for this role Knowledge of animal restraint techniques, and behavior management enhances your ability to care effectively for diverse dogs Background in animal care facilities or outdoor work environments demonstrates your ability to work in dynamic settings Strong customer service skills combined with pet care expertise ensure positive interactions with clients and their pets This role invites passionate animal lovers to make a difference in the lives of pets every day.
