This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in animal handling, pet grooming, cleaning areas and feeding our furry friends. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and cleaning routines Handle animals safely using proper techniques to ensure their comfort and safety Support pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and basic trimming to keep animals looking their best Monitor animal behavior for signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly Engage in outdoor work activities like walking dogs or cleaning outdoor enclosures to promote physical activity and hygiene Assist with animal training exercises and behavior management to support positive development Collaborate with team members during heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or large animals using team lifting techniques Ensure facility sanitization standards are met to maintain a safe, healthy environment for pets and staff Skills Prior experience or background highly preferred Experience in pet sitting or animal care facilities enhances your ability to excel in this role Strong dog handling skills and knowledge of animal behavior are essential for safe interactions Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks Pet grooming skills including bathing, brushing, and basic trimming are advantageous Knowledge of kennel operations, animal restraint techniques, and sanitation protocols is desirable Outdoor work experience helps manage tasks like dog walking or outdoor enclosure maintenance Familiarity with pet boarding procedures and pet care facility sanitization standards ensures high-quality service Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for animals makes a difference every day!
