An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
Qualifications for the position are:
Excellent animal behavior observation skills Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Able to perform strenuous physical labor and lifting (applicant should be in good physical condition with no back problems, and must be able to lift 50 lb. feed bags and bales of hay. Able to work well with a variety of people Very reliable, dependable and trustworthy (must have your own car that is reliable) Passionate about animal welfare/animal rights and veganism Most importantly- a genuine desire to give a good quality of life to the rescued animals Hours
- Monday thru Friday 8 a.m
- 1 pm, must be willing to work most holidays at overtime rates.
