Job Description
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong attention to detail, and previous experience in a dog daycare, boarding, or kennel facility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to senior staff
- Administer medications as directed
- Greet and interact with pet owners, providing exceptional customer service
- Assist with basic training and socialization of animals
- Process payments and transactions
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, and reservation scheduling.
- Overnight stays to care for our boarding dogs.
- Weekends and holidays are required.
- Work indoors and outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a dog daycare, kennel facility or similar environment is preferred
- Familiarity with animal behavior, handling techniques, and care practices.
- Ability to work efficientlyin a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
