Job Description

  • Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong attention to detail, and previous experience in a dog daycare, boarding, or kennel facility.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to senior staff
  • Administer medications as directed
  • Greet and interact with pet owners, providing exceptional customer service
  • Assist with basic training and socialization of animals
  • Process payments and transactions
  • Manage check-ins, check-outs, and reservation scheduling.
  • Overnight stays to care for our boarding dogs.
  • Weekends and holidays are required.
  • Work indoors and outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in a dog daycare, kennel facility or similar environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with animal behavior, handling techniques, and care practices.
  • Ability to work efficientlyin a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
