Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Assistant, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kennel. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising dogs and other pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces by performing regular cleaning tasks. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervising staff. Assist with dog training sessions and socialization activities to promote positive behavior. Handle animals safely and effectively using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Support grooming activities as needed, including bathing and brushing pets. Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and scheduling appointments for pet services. Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff members.

Weekday Morning & Afternoon Shifts We are currently hiring for weekday morning and afternoon availability , and candidates who can work these shifts will be given priority. Weekend morning and afternoon shifts also available!
Morning Shift:
6:00am - 1:00pm
Afternoon Shift:
12:30pm - 7:30pm Requirements Previous experience in animal care or related fields is preferred but not required. Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and heavy lifting are essential for this role. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is a plus. Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is crucial for success in this position.
