Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Bathe and dry dogs
- Assist with animal handling
- Handle and restrain animals in a safe and compassionate manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns or questions
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for animal handling
Requirements:
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming needs
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and standing for long periods of time
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Skills:
- Dog training: Familiarity with basic dog training techniques and commands
Kennel:
Experience working in a kennel or boarding facility- Customer service: Ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service to pet owners
- Pet grooming: Proficiency in bathing
Veterinary:
Understanding of basic veterinary care procedures and terminology- Pet care: Knowledge of general pet care practices, including feeding, exercise, and hygiene
- Veterinary technician: Experience or certification as a veterinary technician is a plus
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects or animals when necessary
