Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description

Duties:
  • Feeding and watering animals
  • Cleaning stalls and maintaining a clean barn environment
  • Grooming and exercising horses. Caring for cows, ducks , goats and cats
  • Administering medications or treatments to animals as directed by the veterinarian
  • Monitoring animal health and reporting any concerns to the supervisor
  • Assisting with general maintenance of the barn and equipment
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a barn or with animals preferred
  • Knowledge of horse care and handling techniques
  • Familiarity with basic veterinary procedures and medications
  • Ability to operate farm equipment such as tractors, mowers, and utility vehicles
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
