Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and provide excellent care for our furry guests. Responsibilities & Experience
  • Assist in the daily care of animals including feeding, watering, and walking
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal living areas
  • Monitor animal behavior and report any health concerns to manager
  • Administer medications as directed by veterinarian
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, pet sitting, or animal care is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of basic animal care practices and procedures
  • Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments (leash pulling and jumped on)
  • Experience with heavy lifting as some animals may require assistance and other heavy lifting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds (bag of dog food)
  • Must help keep facility and property clean and functionable (sweep, mop, dust, shovel snow, fill dirt holes etc.)
  • Front desk duties include: answering phone, greet clients, help run dogs/cats to the back, check in and check out clients, etc.
  • Must be able to work weekend and holidays lifting.
