Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare and the ability to provide high-quality care for dogs. This role involves ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of dogs in our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment. As an Animal Caretaker, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall mission of our organization. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Maintain cleanliness in animal enclosures, kennels, and common areas. Assist with administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinary personnel. Handle animals safely and effectively during routine care and procedures. Support front desk operations by greeting visitors and providing information about our services. Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of animal husbandry practices. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain accurate records of animal care. Skills Proficient in animal husbandry practices, including knowledge of dietary needs and behavioral cues. Experience working in a kennel or laboratory setting is preferred. Excellent animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely when necessary. Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and pet owners. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
