Adoption Specialist & Animal Services Hybrid Team Member

Crossroads Animal Shelter is seeking Adoption Specialist & Animal Services Hybrid team members who are positive, adaptable, dependable, and strong communicators, with a genuine commitment to providing excellent care for both the animals and the people we serve. Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Operations & Medical Services, the Adoption Specialist & Animal Services Hybrid team member will support clients and the animals in our care by facilitating adoptions, providing information and resources, assisting with customer service needs, and ensuring the daily husbandry and well-being of shelter animals. Summary of Job Duties Facilitate adoptions and help match pets with appropriate homes Provide accurate medical, behavioral, and animal history information to potential adopters Process adoption applications, paperwork, and related transactions Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with client inquiries Provide information about shelter services, programs, and community resources Troubleshoot and resolve client questions, concerns, and service issues Document and maintain accurate customer and animal records Provide daily animal husbandry, including feeding, sanitation, enrichment, and general care Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming facility Support the overall daily operations and positive experience of animals, clients, volunteers, and staff Qualifications Previous customer service experience with a strong commitment to providing excellent service Ability to build positive rapport and establish strong relationships with clients Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment Adaptable and comfortable responding to changing priorities and situations Strong attention to detail and accuracy Positive, professional, and approachable demeanor Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Basic computer and internet skills, including the ability to learn new software and systems Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and regularly walk, bend, kneel, squat, and perform other physical tasks associated with animal care and facility operations Hours of Operation Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursday & Friday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Pay/Hours Starting $15.00
•$16.50 DOE Up to 25 hour/week Weekend hours and alternating holiday shifts are required. Discounts on Veterinary Care & Procedures /Adoption/ Pet Food and Supplies Flexible schedueling
