Leashes & Leads is looking for an evening Shift Supervisor who can lead a team, keep things moving, and make good decisions when there are a lot of dogs, people, and priorities happening at once. You do not need professional dog-care experience to apply. We can teach dog handling, our facility, our systems, and our standards. What we're looking for is someone who already knows how to lead people, communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and take ownership of a shift. If you've supervised a team in hospitality, retail, childcare, healthcare, food service, recreation, customer service, or another fast-paced environment, your experience may translate really well here. And yes—you absolutely need to love dogs. The Job As an evening Shift Supervisor, you'll help run our PM operations and lead the team caring for our daycare and boarding guests. Some days are smooth. Some days there are 15 things happening at once. You'll be the person helping the team prioritize, solve problems, communicate, and make sure every dog receives the care they need before the day is done.
You'll:
Lead and support the evening pet-care team Coach newer employees and help develop strong dog handlers Coordinate evening routines for daycare and boarding dogs Monitor dog playgroups and learn safe group-management techniques Help with feeding, medications, potty breaks, cleaning, and guest care Communicate with pet parents when needed Assist with front desk and retail operations Make decisions and troubleshoot issues during your shift Communicate important information to management Help keep the facility clean, safe, organized, and running well This is a working supervisor position . You won't be standing on the sidelines telling everyone else what to do. You'll be right there with your team. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who has already demonstrated that people can count on them. Ideally, you have: Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience A history of reliability and stability in previous employment Strong communication skills Confidence giving direction and constructive feedback The ability to stay calm and make decisions in a busy environment A willingness to learn dog behavior and safe handling Comfort working with a wide variety of people A genuine love for dogs Previous professional animal experience is preferred, but it is NOT required. Great leadership experience from another industry absolutely counts. Your Schedule This position is primarily focused on our evening/PM operations . Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available. Because Leashes & Leads provides boarding and pet care 365 days a year, supervisors should expect some weekend and holiday availability. We know people have lives outside of work, too, and scheduling expectations will be discussed during the interview process. Pay + Growth Starting pay: $18-$20/hour based on experience Pay can increase as you complete training milestones and take on additional responsibilities. This isn't intended to be a dead-end shift supervisor position.
