Bella's House of Doodles is seeking a dependable and attentive Part-Time Dog Caretaker to assist with the daily care of our adult dogs housed at a private property near Good Thunder, MN. This position provides scheduled coverage for our primary caretaker and is responsible for maintaining established feeding, cleaning, exercise, enrichment, and health-monitoring routines. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, following detailed care instructions, and providing consistent, high-quality care. Responsibilities Feed and provide fresh water according to established schedules and individual care plans Clean and sanitize kennels, dog areas, food and water bowls, bedding, and equipment Provide routine potty breaks, outdoor time, exercise, and enrichment Provide individual attention, handling, and socialization Monitor dogs for changes in appetite, behavior, stool, activity level, or overall health Administer medications or supplements according to provided instructions, when applicable Report health, behavioral, or care concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor Complete laundry, dishes, waste removal, and other routine sanitation duties Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked animal-care areas Follow established health, sanitation, safety, and animal-handling procedures Maintain clear communication regarding completed care and any concerns requiring follow-up Perform additional animal-care duties as assigned Schedule This is a part-time position primarily intended to provide coverage on the primary caretaker's scheduled days off and during other periods when additional coverage is needed. Regular weekend availability is required. Availability for some holidays and additional coverage during vacations or scheduled time off may also be required. There may be opportunities for cross-training at Bella's Play & Stay , our boarding and daycare facility in Eagle Lake, MN, based on business and staffing needs. The primary work location for this position will remain the private property near Good Thunder. Qualifications Dependable and able to work scheduled shifts independently Regular weekend availability required Comfortable working with dogs of various sizes, ages, temperaments, and activity levels Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize changes in animal health or behavior Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions Comfortable performing routine cleaning and sanitation duties Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with animal care, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and cleaning throughout the shift Previous professional animal-care experience is preferred but not required
