Metro Dogs is seeking active employees for their doggy daycare! Come for the dogs, stay for the team environment! Your main job description as a dog handler is to supervise, manage, and interact with groups of off-leash dogs of all breeds and sizes. Our goal is to get our guests plenty of socialization and exercise as well as maintaining an exceptionally high level of dog safety. This will include breaking up rough or inappropriate interactions between dogs of all sizes weights, as well as communicating dogs' behavior or health issues to a Manager. Also included are light cleaning duties such as: clean & disinfect kennels; vacuum, mop, & scrub floors, clean up dogs' messes. This is a fun job (you are with dogs!), but it is also hard work! You will be on your feet and active throughout the entire shift.

Qualifications:

Experience working with dog in a daycare setting preferred. Must be at least 17 years of age. Ability to lift 40 lbs with no restrictions. Able to stand for long periods of time and be physically active throughout the shift (bending, crouching, walking, lifting, etc.); this is a physically demanding job. Must have an overwhelming love for dogs of all shapes and sizes!! Be patient & tolerant of: dogs in general, loud environments (barking), dog waste, odor and dog hair.

Scheduling Requirements:

Shifts range between the hours of 6:30a - 1:30p, Mon - Fri. Minimum of 15 hours per week required.
