Full Job Description Kennel Assistant Duties:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners and visitors
  • Assist with the daily care and maintenance of animals in the kennel
  • Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
  • Clean kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Administer medications as directed
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
  • Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
  • Handle animals safely and securely during check-ins, check-outs, and transfers
  • ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with little guidance.
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) when necessary
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with pet owners in a professional manner
