Full Job Description Kennel Assistant Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners and visitors
- Assist with the daily care and maintenance of animals in the kennel
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
- Clean kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
- Administer medications as directed
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Handle animals safely and securely during check-ins, check-outs, and transfers
- ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with little guidance.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) when necessary
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with pet owners in a professional manner
