Job Overview Join our dynamic pet care team as a Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant, where your enthusiasm for animals and commitment to their well-being will shine! In this energetic role, you'll provide exceptional care for our furry guests, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and happy. Your daily activities will include caring for animals, maintaining a clean environment, and engaging with pets and clients alike. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your animal handling skills while working in a lively, pet-focused environment that values teamwork and compassion. Duties Safely handle and restrain dogs and other small animals using proper animal handling techniques Feed, water, and monitor pets' health status throughout their stay or daycare visit Clean kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a sanitized and welcoming environment Observe animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly Assist with pet grooming, pet sitting, and basic veterinary assistance tasks as needed Engage pets in enrichment activities and supervised play to promote mental stimulation and physical activity Support team lifting efforts when moving heavy supplies or large animals safely Requirements Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable Experience with pet sitting, dog training, or animal behavior management is a plus Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of pet grooming, sanitization procedures for pet care facilities, and animal care best practices Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment focused on animal welfare Join us if you're passionate about animals and eager to make a positive difference in their lives! Pay:
From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
