Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and drying to meet client specifications and breed standards Handle animals with gentle care, ensuring their safety and comfort through proper restraint techniques Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, coat brushing, and other grooming tasks with precision and attention to detail Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide advice on pet coat styling and maintenance Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines Assist with animal handling during grooming procedures, including veterinary-related tasks such as veterinary technician or assistant duties if applicable Support pet care routines such as feeding or administering medications when needed, especially for pets with special needs or veterinary experience requirements Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, including dog handling and animal restraint techniques Knowledge of pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and animal care best practices Experience working with veterinary professionals or in veterinary settings is highly desirable Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and health concerns Ability to lift heavy pets safely and perform physical tasks involved in grooming procedures Familiarity with kennel experience or pet sitting is a plus for understanding animal behavior and handling Excellent animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, and potentially equine (horse) experience is beneficial Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude that fosters trust and satisfaction among clients Join us in creating a positive environment where animals are treated with kindness and professionalism.
