Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Dog Groomer to join our pet care team. This role involves providing professional grooming services to dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and experience in pet grooming and animal handling. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals looking to combine their love of animals with a rewarding part-time career. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing of dogs according to client specifications Handle dogs safely and humanely during grooming procedures, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming environment, including cleaning tools and workstations Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Manage appointment scheduling and ensure timely completion of services Assist with animal care tasks as needed, including feeding, walking, or kennel cleaning Follow safety protocols to prevent injury to pets or staff during grooming sessions Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus Familiarity with veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles and responsibilities is advantageous Experience with animal restraint, pet sitting, kennel work, or equine handling is beneficial Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting pets or equipment) Animal handling skills with a compassionate approach toward pets of all temperaments Reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours on a part-time basis This role is ideal for passionate animal lovers seeking a flexible opportunity to contribute their skills in pet grooming and animal care within a supportive team environment.
