An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

We service up to 13 miles around Clayton, NC. We are looking for an enthusiastic pet lover to join our team as an Independent Contractor! This position is paid per service completed rather than hourly and offers the opportunity to care for a variety of pets in a fun and relaxed environment while working independently. We are specifically looking for someone with a very open and flexible schedule who is available to consistently accept pet care visits throughout the week. The ideal candidate will have minimal other scheduling commitments that significantly limit their availability. Availability during the day, evenings, weekends, and holidays is important, as pet care visits can be scheduled between 7 AM and 9 PM. Responsibilities include feeding, walking, providing companionship, and providing basic care for pets while their owners are away. You will also be expected to follow client instructions and provide updates after each visit.
