An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
Required Experience:
1-2+ years of paid pet care experience required Experience with medication administration, multi-pet households, and independent care. Pet care experience can include kennel tech, vet tech, pet store, pet boarding facilities, etc. Personal pet ownership or a couple of pet-sitting gigs alone does not qualify. Availability Expectations Consistent weekly availability Availability for weekends, holidays, and/or high-demand times Reliability in the schedule you provide is essential Expectations for Reliability & Team Fit Respond to booking requests promptly ( within ~1-2 hours during the day ) Follow through on all accepted bookings Provide detailed client updates with photos via company software Maintain professionalism in client homes Communicate effectively with team members when needed Trial Period 30-60 days to assess reliability, communication, client feedback, and overall team fit. Compensation Pay is based on services rendered Greater availability and consistency = more opportunities Priority given to reliable, long-term sitters Important Note This is not a casual or short-term role .
