Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Dog Bather to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for bathing, drying and brushing dogs. Applicants with experience doing nails is a plus! Responsibilities Bathe, dry, and brush dogs. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment. Assist with animal restraint as needed to ensure safe handling during grooming. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's grooming needs and any observed health concerns. Handle dogs with care and respect. Perform basic health checks on pets, noting any abnormalities or concerns for veterinary attention if necessary. Light reception work such as entering grooming notes, texting clients when their dogs are ready for pickup, and occasionally booking appointments or checking in/out dogs. Skills Experience in pet grooming or related fields such as pet sitting or animal care is highly desirable. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming. Strong dog handling skills, including the ability to manage different temperaments and sizes of dogs. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing excellent care.
