An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
Our business hours and schedule:
Tuesday-Friday:
8:30 AM-5:00 PM Two Saturdays per month: 8:30 AM-2:30 PM Because we accept walk-in customers , the groomer must be available and committed to working during the full scheduled hours. Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services, including bathing, brushing, drying, clipping, trimming, and styling . Have at least 2 years of professional dog grooming experience . Handle dogs safely and confidently, including dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and grooming needs. Prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every dog in your care. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe grooming area. Communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners regarding grooming requests and preferences. Observe dogs for any unusual conditions, injuries, skin issues, or other health concerns and report them appropriately. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude at all times. Compensation 35% commission + tips Tips are paid 100% to the groomer For card payments, commission is calculated after applicable processing/tax deductions. This is a commission-based position . If want to earn by day, we can also do $170 per day + tips. Requirements Minimum 2 years of professional dog grooming experience. Strong knowledge of grooming techniques and breed-specific cuts. Confident and safe dog handling skills. Ability to work with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Ability to lift and safely handle dogs when necessary. Fluent English is required , as you will communicate directly with customers. Professional, reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Experience with kennel operations or a professional grooming salon is a plus.
