Duties Provide attentive pet sitting, feeding, and daily care for animals of all sizes and temperaments. Handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques and dog handling skills. Assist with pet grooming, cleaning kennels, and maintaining a sanitized pet care environment. Support pet boarding activities by monitoring pets' behavior and ensuring their comfort. Engage in outdoor work such as walking dogs, exercising pets, and supervising playtime. Perform animal behavior assessments to better understand individual needs and improve care strategies. Maintain detailed records of pet health, behavior observations, and cleaning schedules to ensure high standards of animal care and facility sanitization. Experience Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued. Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work demonstrates strong animal handling skills. Background as a veterinary assistant or in animal care roles provides a solid foundation for this position. Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting tasks safely when handling large or multiple animals. Customer service experience helps foster positive interactions with pet owners and visitors. Outdoor work experience enhances your ability to manage pets in various environments effectively. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques, animal restraint procedures, and pet care facility sanitization is preferred.
