This is a hyper-local position and is not suitable for commuting from outside our service area. Bone-A-Fide Pet Care has been providing high-quality pet care throughout North Raleigh since 2007. We're growing again and looking for exceptional people to join our team as part-time Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers. We provide premium white-glove pet care, where attention to detail, genuine care, and the experience we provide to both pets and their people matter. Our clients trust us to care for their pets and give them true peace of mind while they're away. FLEXIBLE HOURS
Enjoy the flexibility of meaningful, rewarding part-time work that can complement your existing schedule and lifestyle. We ask that you have consistent availability Monday thru Friday and flexibility to work at least 2 weekends per month, as needed. Morning, after-5 PM, and weekend availability is especially helpful. Flexibility throughout the day and week can provide additional opportunities for visits.
COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION
Approximately $300-$800+ per month, depending on individual client needs, your availability, and your pet-care skills, including the ability to care for both cats and dogs. Average hourly compensation of approximately$16.50-$22.50+ per hour. Additional compensation for working holidays and evenings and administering certain medications, such as injections. Gratuity as provided by clients. Bonuses as determined by the company. Milestone increases. Payment by direct deposit every two weeks.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A LUXURY PET CARE SPECIALIST
We're not looking for a particular résumé or background. We're looking for people with the experience, judgment, reliability, and genuine care to become a valued member of the Bone-A-Fide Pet Care team. Must reside in 27609, 27612, 27613, or 27615 . This is a firm requirement due to our hyper-local service area. Has meaningful, recent experience caring for dogs and/or cats, whether professionally, through volunteering, or with personal pets, and is comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, routines, and needs. Cat experience is a plus! Is exceptionally dependable and understands that pets and their families are counting on you. Pays close attention to detail, follows each pet's care instructions carefully, and demonstrates excellent common sense and sound judgment. Takes pride in their work and naturally looks for ways to provide first-class care. Communicates promptly, professionally, and thoughtfully, both verbally and in writing. Is comfortable working independently and knowing when to reach out for help or clarification. Is 21 years or older , physically capable of completing 20-50 minute walks, bending, stooping, and lifting 30+ lbs. when needed, and has a reliable personally owned vehicle, valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and smartphone to use our pet-sitting app.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide attentive and detailed care tailored to each pet's individual needs, personality, and routine. Your visits may include walks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, litter box care, medication when needed, and other care outlined in each pet's online pet portal. You'll engage with each pet throughout your visit, not simply complete a checklist of tasks. You'll provide companionship, attention, and enrichment while keeping an eye on their comfort and well-being. You'll also give client homes a lived in look by rotating lights and blinds, bringing in mail and packages, watering plants and taking care of trash day needs. We also send a warm and engaging professional visit note and photos after each visit, giving clients a glimpse into how their pets are doing and the experience they had while in your care.

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR APPLICANTS
You must live in one of our service areas: 27609, 27612, 27613, or 27615. Our service area is intentionally hyper-local, with clients typically located within a 7-mile radius of the pet sitter's home. We are often asked to make exceptions to our zip-code requirements, but unfortunately, we cannot. This position is best suited for someone looking to make extra side income , rather than someone dependent on it for a specific level of income, as the amount earned can vary. We are looking for long-term caregivers, with a minimum commitment of 9-12 months or more. This is not summer or seasonal work. If your location is not one of the listed zip codes or your availability does not match our current needs, we will keep your application on file for future opportunities. We are expanding to 27587 near the Heritage area in 2027.

RESIDE IN?
We are only considering applications from candidates who currently reside in 27609, 27612, 27613, or 27615. This position is not suitable for commuting. This is a part-time, year round position, not summer or seasonal work. Are you able to commit to this position for at least the next 12 months? Consistent availability is essential. Our peak visit times are 7-9am, 10-3pm, 4-7pm and 8-10pm, Monday-Sunday. Please list the specific days and times you are regularly available to work during these days. Do you have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle that you personally own and have regular access to, and current auto insurance in your name. You MUST have all 3 to be considered for this position. Do you have a smartphone with unlimited data, GPS, camera/video, text, video and email capabilities, as well as the ability to download and use our pet-sitting software app while working? Pet sitting (travel care) has greater demand during spring, summer and all major holidays. Will you have part time availabilty during these periods and one or more of the following fall/winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve 2026 and New Year's Day 2027. Are you interested in occasional overnight pet care (9pm to 7am) in our clients' clean, comfortable and non-smoking homes? It may be about 0-5 times per month , but is not a requirement to be considered for this position. This position typically provides ~$300-800+ per month, depending on your availability, experience and skill level. Is this potential monthly earning range acceptable to you? If selected for this position, you will need to provide proof that you are at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance. We will also conduct a criminal background and DMV check and contact professional references. Communication may include phone, text, email and Zoom. Do you understand and agree to these requirements? If selected, when would you be available to begin working? This position involves caring for clients' pets in their homes, keeping their homes tidy and secure, and working independently.
