Job Description

Are you an animal lover who is also organized, professional, friendly, and great with people? The Diggs at Paws & Claws is looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our team! We are a busy boarding and daycare facility, and our front desk is the first and last impression our clients have with us. We are looking for someone who understands that this position is more than answering phones and checking pets in and out. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service and create true hospitality experience for every client and their pet.

Strong customer service experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional, friendly, and confident personality Reliable and dependable Extremely organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to multitask while maintaining accuracy Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult or upset customers Must be comfortable working around barking dogs, cleaning, accidents, and the general realities of a busy boarding/daycare facility
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
As a receptionist, you will play an important role in keeping our facility running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting clients and their pets with a warm, professional attitude Checking pets in and out Managing reservations and scheduling through Gingr Updating client and pet records accurately Answering phones, texts, emails, and other client communications Explaining our services, policies, and procedures to clients Processing payments and maintaining accurate transactions Communicating boarding, daycare, grooming, and add-on services Monitoring reservations, occupancy, and scheduling Reviewing pet profiles for important instructions, medications, feeding information, and special needs Communicating important information between the front desk and kennel staff Handling client questions, concerns, and complaints professionally Following all company policies and procedures Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Assisting with basic animal handling and facility needs when necessary Protecting client and pet information Providing an exceptional experience from the moment a client walks through our doors

You aren't comfortable working around animals. You aren't comfortable addressing problems professionally. You need constant direction to complete your responsibilities. You are looking for a quiet, slow-paced reception position.
PAY & SCHEDULE
Pay:
$12-13 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Full time 6:45am-2pm Monday through Friday and rotating weekends This is a hands-on position in a busy animal boarding and daycare facility , so flexibility and reliability are extremely important.
