Do you love animals, enjoy staying busy, and want a job where no two days are exactly the same? We're looking for dependable, compassionate Animal Caretakers to join our team! What you'll be doing: ○ Providing hands-on care and attention to dogs and cats ○ Cleaning and maintaining kennels and animal areas ○ Lots of walking and staying active throughout your shift ○ Feeding, administering care, and following individual animal instructions ○ Reading and understanding animal body language ○ Communicating professionally with clients and answering questions ○ Communicating clearly with coworkers and management ○ Creating a safe, calm, and positive environment for every animal in our care What we're looking for: ○ Someone reliable, responsible, and hardworking ○ Strong communication skills — this is a priority! ○ Comfortable speaking with clients professionally ○ Able to recognize and appropriately respond to animal body language ○ Comfortable working around dogs and cats of different sizes, personalities, and needs ○ Able to lift up to 30 lbs. ○Comfortable being on your feet and walking throughout the day ○Willing to clean kennels and do the less-glamorous parts of animal care — because yes, poop is part of the job! ○A team player who is willing to communicate rather than assume Experience working with animals is a plus, but the right attitude, work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn are incredibly important to us. This is a hands-on animal care position, not simply a job where you get to hang out with cute dogs all day. Our animals depend on us to notice the little things, communicate with each other, and provide consistent, thoughtful care.
