Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and compassionate Experienced Pet Bather to join our grooming team. The ideal candidate has hands-on bathing experience, a strong understanding of canine and feline handling, and a commitment to providing safe, high‑quality care. This role is essential to maintaining a smooth grooming workflow and ensuring every pet has a positive experience.
  • Key Responsibilities Bathe, dry, and brush dogs (and cats, if applicable) of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Perform pre‑groom services including nail trimming, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, and de‑shedding Safely handle pets with varying behavior levels, including anxious or reactive animals Use bathing equipment, dryers, shampoos, and tools correctly and efficiently Identify skin issues, parasites, or health concerns and report them to the groomer or manager Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment Communicate professionally with clients and team members Assist groomers with prep work and workflow as needed Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well‑being of pets and staff•Qualifications 1-2+ years of professional bathing or grooming salon experience required Strong knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and basic grooming techniques Ability to lift and handle dogs up to 50-75 lbs safely Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment Excellent animal‑handling skills and a calm, patient demeanor Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team•Preferred Skills (Not Required) Experience with high‑velocity dryers Familiarity with de‑shedding systems (e.
g., Furminator, specialty shampoos) Cat bathing experience CPR/First Aid for pets certification
