Pet Bather

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for pets during their bathing sessions. This role is essential in ensuring that pets leave our facility looking and feeling their best, while also maintaining a safe and clean environment. Duties Gently bathe and dry pets according to their specific needs, ensuring comfort throughout the process. Brush and comb fur to remove tangles and mats, paying attention to sensitive areas. Inspect pets for any signs of skin issues, parasites, or other health concerns, reporting findings to the veterinary staff if necessary. Maintain cleanliness of bathing areas, grooming tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Assist in restraining animals safely during grooming procedures to prevent injury to both the pet and staff. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and care instructions. Support operations as needed, including feeding, exercising, and monitoring pets in our care. Skills Proficient in animal handling techniques with a focus on safety and comfort for pets. Experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician is a plus. Knowledge of dog handling practices and pet bathing techniques is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, including lifting large dogs or equipment. Experience in pet sitting or as a veterinary assistant can enhance your candidacy. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
