Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. If you have a passion for automotive repair and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Duties:

Responsible for all internal repair orders written for PDI, CPO, New / Used Required Recalls and reconditioning service for all used vehicles. Maintain a schedule of Reconditioning / PDI Service Technician and Porter absences for training, vacation or personal reasons to assure a proper staffing to meet work demands. Identify all store inventory with open recalls, schedule and complete when parts are available. Collaborate with our parts and service team for timely recall completion. Collaborate with other company stores selling the brand or non-company stores for recall completion for non-branded products.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles
• Conduct inspections and identify any additional repairs needed
• Perform engine tune-ups and other powertrain repairs
• Repair and replace braking systems, suspension components, and exhaust systems
• Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized equipment
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs to customers in a clear and understandable manner

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with expertise in all brand vehicles
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and powertrain systems
• Proficient in tire service including installation, rotation, and balancing
• Skilled in general mechanic duties such as brake repair, suspension work, and exhaust system repairs
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
• Experience with equipment repair and auto body repair is a plus
