In person We're looking for an experienced dog groomer to join our team at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in Manlius. We have a busy grooming salon and are looking for someone who already knows the profession, can handle full grooms independently, and takes pride in doing good work and taking care of the dogs entrusted to them. This is a great opportunity for an experienced groomer who wants a steady place to work, build a loyal client base, and continue developing their grooming skills and career. What We're Looking For We're looking for a groomer who: Has professional dog grooming experience Can complete full grooms independently from start to finish Is comfortable with breed-style cuts, shave-downs, trims, sanitary trims, feet, faces, ears, and nails Can safely and compassionately handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and coat conditions Communicates comfortably with pet parents about haircut expectations, matting, coat condition, and other grooming concerns Takes pride in producing clean, consistent work Enjoys developing relationships with clients and building a repeat grooming clientele Wants to continue growing professionally as a groomer What You'll Do Perform full-service dog grooming, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming, scissoring, dematting when appropriate, and styling Talk with pet parents about the groom they want and what is realistically achievable based on the dog's coat and condition Communicate visible concerns noticed during grooming, including matting, skin irritation, ear issues, lumps, cuts, or other conditions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized grooming area Follow safe and compassionate handling practices Work with the rest of our team to make the grooming experience as positive as possible for both pets and their owners Experience Professional dog grooming experience is required. You should be comfortable completing full grooms without supervision and have a working knowledge of dog coat types, grooming tools, and common breed styles. Grooming certification is welcome but is not required. Pay & Benefits $30.00- 50.
