Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of dogs to breed standards or owner preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming needs, preferences, and aftercare instructions Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to health and safety standards at all times Assist with pet handling tasks such as kennel cleaning, pet sitting, or light veterinary assistance as needed Support team members by lifting heavy grooming equipment or assisting with animal handling during busy periods Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet care techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and animal handling best practices Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is highly advantageous Strong dog handling skills coupled with animal restraint expertise to ensure safety for pets and staff Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners professionally and empathetically Familiarity with animal care routines such as pet nail trimming, bathing, and coat maintenance Ability to lift heavy objects safely while maintaining proper posture during grooming tasks Experience working in kennels or pet sitting environments is a plus Customer service orientation with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters trust and satisfaction Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms the lives of pets and their owners!
