Job Description

Ulster County SPCA is seeking an energetic, reliable and hardworking individual who is passionate about animal care and welfare, strives for excellence and excels in working in a team environment. The Ulster County SPCA has been providing shelter for abused, neglected and homeless animals since 1891. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our high-performance team as an Animal Care Attendant. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning, feeding and handling of the animals and assisting in adoption counseling and customer service while working alongside a team of professional, respectful teammates. If you are a friendly, self-motivated, reliable, flexible and detail-oriented individual who is willing to learn methods of animal husbandry and handling, this position may be for you. High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, solid people skills, and having a sense of pride in all you do is a must. This entry-level position requires lifting, bending and spending long periods of time on your feet in a fast-paced environment. This is a predominantly cleaning position, full time, five days per week, 7:30am - 4pm, off Mon/Tue. To be considered, a cover letter and resume must be submitted.
