Job Description

Summary Riverside Pet Retreat is seeking a full-time Kennel Attendant to join our boarding and daycare team. This position plays an important role in the daily care of the pets in our facility while helping maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized environment. The Kennel Attendant works alongside other kennel staff and the kennel manager to support daily animal care, facility operations, and client service. Applicants should have experience working with animals, be comfortable interacting with clients, and be able to safely care for pets of varying sizes, temperaments, and behavior types. Riverside Pet Retreat is open seven days a week, 365 days a year. This is an indoor and outdoor position, and duties are performed in all weather conditions. Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are essential. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and assist with heavier animals. Available shifts fall between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. We look forward to meeting you! Job Duties include, but are not limited to: Feeding, watering, and exercising the pets in our care Cleaning and maintaining kennels, runs, common areas, and outdoor spaces Completing laundry and general facility upkeep Preparing meals for boarded pets Bathing pets and performing nail trims Administering medications as directed Communicating with clients by phone, email, and text Scheduling boarding and daycare reservations Checking pets in and out of the facility
Salary:
$16.50-$17.00 per hour
