The Wright Pet is looking for a part-time Daycamp Attendant to work the afternoon shift (12 pm to 6 pm) on weekdays. What We Offer Hands-on experience working with dogs Comprehensive on-the-job training Supportive, relaxed team atmosphere Casual work attire Position Summary We are seeking an attentive, reliable, and energetic Dog Daycare Attendant to supervise playgroups, ensure canine safety, maintain clean facilities, and create a positive experience for every dog in our care. Key Responsibilities Dog Supervision & Play Management Actively monitor and manage group play, using approved dog-handling techniques and tools to maintain safe activity levels and reduce stress. Maintain continuous visual observation of all dogs, ensuring equal attention and care. Follow proper procedures for dog introductions, praise, redirection, and leash handling. Accurately identify all dogs in your assigned group and review dog profiles prior to shifts. Complete Daily Report Cards for all dogs and draft timely incident reports when necessary. Observe dog behavior closely; immediately report unusual behaviors, health concerns, or injuries to the Supervisor. Conduct thorough shift handoffs, communicating dog statuses, special needs, and behavioral updates to oncoming staff or management. Facility Maintenance & Sanitation Promptly clean up waste in both indoor and outdoor areas. Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance duties throughout the daycamp area. Report maintenance needs, repairs, or inventory shortages to the Supervisor in a timely manner. General Check daily updates and instructions on the daycamp whiteboard before each shift. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience working in a dog daycare setting required.
Age:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Capability:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical cleaning tasks for extended periods.
Skills:
Highly detail-oriented, observant, and effective at communicating both individually and as part of a team.
Reliability:
Must have dependable transportation and a strong track record of punctuality. How to
