The Dawg Shoppe is a drama free salon focused on providing top-quality services to our amazing clientele. We ask that you work at a comfortable pace for you to safely and effectively complete your appointments and do not demand any production goals, although reaching certain milestones will come with benefits, including paid sharpening, a stipend for massage and chiropractic work, and more! We're on the hunt for someone with natural talent and a desire to further their skills

Responsibilities:

• Complete grooming for dogs of all breeds
• Perform nail trim only appointments
• Check in/out your appointments and offer to rebook at checkout
• Handle pets with care and ensure their safety throughout the grooming process
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area
• Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Skills:

• Hands on grooming experience and ability to complete a haircut start to finish
• Skilled hand drying and handling techniques
• Knowledge of various pet grooming techniques and styles
• Knowledge of animal behavior and ability to safely handle dogs with different temperaments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality grooming services
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow instruction
• A strong focus on the pet's comfort and safety This is a relaxed position designed to make your day enjoyable and ensure the pups in your care have a stellar experience.

Reliability, consistency, patience, and attention to detail are all critical to the job. We are looking for an individual capable of grooming large dogs, someone who enjoys desheds, and who is available on weekends; outside of that, specific hours and days worked can be flexible!
