Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in pet grooming, ensuring that pets leave our facility looking and feeling their best. This role requires a combination of technical grooming skills, animal handling expertise, and a commitment to providing exceptional care for all pets. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling fur for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals with care and provide proper restraint during grooming procedures. Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area and ensure all tools are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions. Provide additional pet care services as needed, including nail trimming, ear cleaning, and brushing. Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet for future reference. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Skills Proficiency in pet grooming techniques for various breeds. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage different temperaments. Experience in heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment. Knowledge of kennel operations and animal care best practices. Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Background as a veterinary technician or experience in veterinary settings is a plus. Understanding of dog training principles can enhance the grooming experience for both the groomer and the pet.
