Job Description

Position Summary The Pet Groomer delivers exceptional grooming services while ensuring pet safety, health, and a positive customer experience. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, pet-focused environment with growth potential. Key Responsibilities Provide grooming services including brushing, conditioning, teeth/ear cleaning, anal gland expression, nail trims, and breed-standard cuts. Ensure pets' safety and well-being; identify and report potential health concerns. Build lasting client relationships and recommend products/services for pet wellness. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace; follow all safety standards. Collaborate with bathers, salon managers, and team members for smooth operations. Schedule appointments and maintain accurate grooming records. Assist with inventory checks, community outreach, and salon upkeep. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of professional grooming experience; certification preferred. Skilled in grooming all breeds and coat types, including breed-specific styles. High school diploma or GED required. Strong communication, customer service, and basic computer skills. Certification from the National Dog Groomer Association of America is a plus. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-40 lbs regularly. Comfortable handling and restraining pets of all sizes. Frequent standing, bending, and moving throughout the salon. Operate grooming tools safely and detect pet health/coat conditions. Work Environment & Benefits Climate-controlled salon with moderate to loud noise. Use of personal protective equipment as needed.
