Job Description

Misty Glen Country Retreat for Dogs is a doggie day care and pet hotel located in a beautiful 5 acre wooded setting in Westlake, OH. It is a happy, positive working environment with flexible scheduling! We are hiring up to 40 hours per week. We need a Dog Daycare Supervisor and Kennel Tech who absolutely loves dogs to join our team. As a part of our great team, you will be responsible for supervising dogs of all sizes in an off-leash group play environment and creating an amazing experience for each pet. Kennel Tech work includes cleaning spaces, feeding, brushing and bathing dogs. What does it take to be a great part of our Team? A positive attitude, is reliability, punctuality and a great work ethic. You represent Misty Glen through your interactions with pets and customers, and are naturally polite, professional and courteous. You must be physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and maintain proper cleaning protocols, you are comfortable to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and willing to work shifts during the week, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • supervising and maintaining a safe environment for all dogs
  • engaging dogs in fun and stimulating activities while showing them affection, attention and love
  • screening and introducing new pets to Misty Glen that play and interact well with others
  • cleaning and routine housekeeping tasks to keep the Hotel impeccably clean;
  • feeding; bathing; administering medications; record keeping. We have a great team spirit and you must be ready to jump in and help the rest of the team as needed. Needless to say

COMPENSATION
Starting wage is $14
  • 15 per hour.
We also have tipping. We have ample on-the-job training and added responsibilities that can greatly increase your wage. There is upward mobility and management opportunities.
