Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with the ability to work effectively with both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling fur for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention. Handle animals safely and humanely, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming procedures, pet care tips, and any observed health concerns. Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience. Strong skills in dog handling, animal care, and animal restraint techniques. Familiarity with dog training principles is a plus. Experience with equine care or kennel management is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple animals.
