We foster a positive workplace that enhances both employee satisfaction and the happiness of our canine clients.Role Overview:
As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you'll dive into engaging activities with a variety of dog breeds, ensuring their safety and fun while nurturing their playful spirits. Infuse your creativity and empathy into organizing interactive sessions, maintaining a clean facility, and promoting a vibrant atmosphere for both dogs and staff. Your responsibilities include securing harmonious play interactions and promptly addressing the cleaning of the facility and play areas. We prefer candidates with professional or volunteer experience in animal care. Key qualities include strong attention to detail, patience, empathy, and a team-player mindset. Your positive outlook will enhance our collective efforts in delivering exceptional care.Flexible Work Schedule:
Enjoy flexibility with shifts available four to five days per week, including one weekend day. Shift durations range from five to nine hours. Scheduled to work one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) per week, with the possibility of holiday shifts. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday 7 AM to 7 PM and Sunday, 7 AM to 12 PM and 4 PM to 7 PM. You do not need to be available for all shifts. You will thrive in this position if you:- Have patience. While humans and dogs have lived together for centuries, dogs still do not speak English. They will not always listen to you the first time. You will sometimes need to repeat yourself over and over to get them to listen to you.
- Have confidence. Managing a group of dogs requires a leadership mentality and confidence.
- Have a love of learning. As noted, dogs do not speak English, you will need to learn their language in order to run a safe playgroup.
- Enjoy being physically active and have the ability to be on your feet and moving for many hours throughout your shift.
- Have an eye for detail.
- Love interacting with dogs AND people.
