Mars, Cranberry Township, Wexford, Warrendale, Marshall Township, Seven Fields, and nearby North Hills communities North Hills Pet Care is a young and growing local company providing professional dog walking and pet sitting services in clients' homes throughout Pittsburgh's North Hills. We are hiring a dependable Overnight Pet Sitter who can accept several consecutive overnight assignments. Our greatest need is for sitters who can cover multi night reservations that span both weekdays and weekends. Longer trips may sometimes be divided between sitters based on availability and the client's needs. However, applicants who are generally available for only occasional single nights are unlikely to be a good fit for this position. We are actively building our local client base, so this is a flexible, part time opportunity best suited for someone looking for supplemental income rather than guaranteed full time hours. Overnight assignments generally run from approximately 8 PM to 7 AM, although exact arrival and departure times depend on each client's care plan. Position Details Part time employee position $7.25 per hour for overnight assignments A typical 11 hour overnight assignment pays $79.75 Paid onboarding and required training at $17 per hour Assignments are offered based on client travel schedules Hours and reservations are not guaranteed each week Responsibilities Overnight Pet Sitters may be responsible for: Staying overnight in clients' homes Completing detailed evening and morning care routines Feeding pets according to written instructions Walking dogs and providing potty breaks Administering medications when required Caring for dogs, cats, puppies, senior pets, and multiple pet households Reviewing all pet, home, and assignment instructions before beginning care Following each client's instructions accurately and consistently Sending detailed written updates and clear photos through our scheduling app Monitoring pets for changes in appetite, behavior, mobility, health, or comfort Communicating promptly when questions or concerns arise Keeping clients' homes secure, tidy, and treated with care Completing reasonable household care tasks included in the client's instructions Scheduling Expectations Reservations often span several consecutive nights, including weekdays and weekends. Longer trips can be divided between sitters when needed, but we are primarily seeking applicants who can reliably accept multiple nights in a row rather than only occasional single nights. Before accepting an assignment, sitters may review the dates, location, pets, and general care requirements. Once a sitter accepts specific nights, those nights become firm work commitments. Reliability is especially important because clients are traveling and depend on their assigned sitter to arrive and provide care as scheduled.
