Job Description

Happy Acres is the brand new facility that houses Happy Bark rescue dogs. It is located on the property of Lucky Dog Stay and Play. It is a separate kennel building with 19 kennel spaces. There are multiple outdoor pens that allow for exercise space. The following is a general outline of the onboarding for the Happy Acres employee. It gives both Happy Acres and Happy Bark the ability to do the most important things right away, while gradually giving the Happy Acres employee more responsibility. It also gives us time to ensure the Happy Acres employee is aligned to Happy Bark's brand, culture, operating philosophies. When any rescue grows their impact, maintaining high levels of adopter experience becomes a challenge, but this plan should ensure we grow with the same quality together. Phase 1 - Animal Care Foundations (First 90 Days) ➔ Cleaning and sanitation ➔ Laundry ➔ Feeding and medication administration ➔ Playtime, leash walks, and enrichment ➔ Socialization and behavioral observations ➔ Submit behavioral and care notes ➔ Emergency escalation procedures Advancement to Phase 2 based on consistency, reliability, and demonstrated animal care competency. Phase 2 - Adopter Interaction Support (Second 90 Days) ➔ Shadow Happy Bark adoption counselors during adoptions at Happy Acres ➔ Facilitate approved-applicant meet and greets ➔ Assist with dog introductions and handling ➔ Communicate dog observations to Happy Bark ➔ Reinforce Happy Bark rescue philosophy and standards No independent adoption authority during this phase. Happy Bark Adoption Counselors will coordinate with the employee for scheduling of meet and greets to be facilitated by the employee. All adoption "paperwork" will still be done by Happy Bark during this phase. Advancement to Phase 3 based on consistency, reliability, and demonstrated animal care and adoption process competency. Phase 3 - Operational Integration (Third 90 Days) ➔ Limited Happy Bark system access ➔ Update medication administration records in our system ➔ Complete adoptions under established protocols ➔ Maintain confidentiality and data security standards No independent adoption authority during this phase. There can be expanded responsibilities beyond those listed based on demonstrated operational accuracy and judgment.

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
