Job Overview As a Groomer at Vanity Fur, you'll be responsible for providing complete grooming services from start to finish, including bathing, drying, brushing, styling, and finishing. You'll work with a variety of breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. Responsibilities Perform full-service dog grooming from start to finish Bathe, blow dry, brush, de-shed, clip, scissor, and style dogs according to client requests and breed standards Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, paw pad trims, sanitary trims, and other finishing services Safely handle dogs with different personalities, ages, sizes, and temperaments Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area Communicate professionally and kindly with clients regarding their pets' grooming needs Recognize and communicate any changes in a pet's condition, behavior, skin, coat, or overall wellbeing Follow salon safety, sanitation, and pet-care procedures Provide a positive, calm, and caring experience for every pet Work cooperatively with the salon team and contribute to a positive workplace environment Skills Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage pets of various temperaments safely and compassionately Comfortable grooming a variety of breeds and coat types Patient, gentle, and compassionate with animals Passionate about animals and genuinely cares about their wellbeing Ability to communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures and animal care instructions Customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients and their pets Able to work independently while also being a strong team player Professional grooming experience is preferred.
