About Us Pawsh Pet auPairs provides calm, enrichment-based dog walking and thoughtful in-home pet care — not just a quick loop around the block, but intentional movement, companionship, and care from people who genuinely enjoy getting to know the pets. The Role Part-time Dog Walker & Pet Care Provider, starting at 3-5 hours/week with room to grow as our client base expands. You'll join the care team for existing Pawsh clients — sharing pets with other team members at first, with the goal of building consistent, trusted relationships over time.Responsibilities:
dog walks, puppy visits, and drop-in care for dogs and cats (no overnight/live-in sitting). Pay & Schedule $17.00/hour to start 3-5 hours/week to start, generally daytime hours, with more hours as demand grows Driving time between clients is paid; mileage reimbursed at $0.50/mile Schedule set around client needs and your availability Availability for holidays is expected — we work together as a team to plan a holiday schedule so everyone gets time with family Benefits Flexible schedule Mileage reimbursement ($0.50/mile) Paid training Professional development assistance Paid time off — begins accruing after 90 days Paid sick time — in compliance with Pittsburgh's paid sick leave law Workers' compensation insurance What You'll Do Provide calm, enrichment-focused walks and attentive puppy/drop-in visits, following each pet's routine and the Pawsh Pet auPairs way Build trust with pets and stay attuned to their body language and behavior Arrive on time, every time — manage your schedule so you're never late to the next visit, and flag any delay to the Pawsh team as soon as you're aware of it Treat clients' homes and belongings with respect Send prompt, high-quality updates and photos after each visit through the Pawsh app Use the Pawsh app for scheduling, time/mileage tracking, and all client/team communication Represent Pawsh with professionalism and warmth Who We're Looking For Highly reliable — punctual, dependable, proactive communicator when issues arise (this matters most) Genuine animal lover, warm and personable, observant, respectful, a strong communicator, and a team player willing to learn our approach Comfortable using a smartphone app daily Requirements 18+, living in or near our Pittsburgh service areas which include: Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, Bloomfield, Station Square, Robinson, Kennedy, Moon Townships, Sewickley, and surrounding areas Reliable car, valid license, comfortable driving between homes Able to keep a punctual schedule Confident walking large, strong dogs as well as small dogs with big attitude Smartphone with reliable service and app comfort Able to pass a background check Comfortable working independently while staying connected to the team Nice to Have (Not Required) Prior dog walking/pet care, vet/shelter/training experience, cat or puppy experience, comfort giving medications.What matters most:
