Job Description
Kennel Attendant Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking Kennel Attendants to join our team. Kennel Attendants provide daily care and support for animals staying at our facility and help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Starting pay is based on experience and qualifications. Because our facility provides care throughout the week, this position requires a regular weekend shift commitment and availability for select holidays . Quakertown Veterinary Clinic - Part time opportunities available Acorn Valley Pet Boarding - Part time opportunities available Responsibilities Provide daily care for boarding animals, including feeding, walking, cleaning enclosures and litter areas, and administering medications according to established procedures Assist with animal handling, restraint, bathing, and other routine care Follow established cleaning, sanitation, and animal-care procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for animals, clients, and staff Monitor animals for changes in condition or behavior and document observations appropriately Follow facility policies and procedures for animal safety and care Communicate effectively with team members regarding animal care and observations Qualifications Previous experience with animals, veterinary care, kennel care, or a related setting is preferred but not required Comfortable handling and caring for animals in a calm and safe manner Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established care procedures Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Availability to work scheduled weekends and select holidays Applicants must meet applicable minimum-age requirements for employment Benefits Eligible employees may have access to: 401(k) matching Medical, dental, and vision benefits Mental health benefits Employee discounts Holiday pay Paid time off Life insurance Disability insurance On-the-job training Access to an online educational portal Staff events Shift differentials Physical Requirements The physical requirements described above are representative of those necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
