Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming boarding dogs into your home and helping them settle in comfortably Providing overnight care, supervision, companionship, and affection Feeding dogs according to their individual feeding schedules and instructions Providing regular potty breaks and walks Following each dog's specific care instructions Administering medications when necessary and as instructed Monitoring dogs throughout their stay and recognizing any unusual behavior or concerns Maintaining a clean, safe, and dog-friendly home environment Providing updates and communicating with Hound Lounge regarding the dogs in your care Treating every dog with patience, kindness, and the same level of care you would provide your own pet What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Absolutely loves dogs Has previous experience caring for dogs, pet sitting, boarding, daycare, fostering, veterinary care, or similar animal-care experience Has a safe, clean, and dog-friendly home Is comfortable having dogs stay overnight in their home Is dependable, responsible, and trustworthy Understands that every dog has a different personality, routine, and set of needs Is patient and comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments Can follow feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions carefully Is attentive and proactive when it comes to the wellbeing of the dogs Has flexibility for weekends, holidays, and busy travel periods Your Home Because the dogs will be staying in your home, we are looking for applicants who can provide a safe and welcoming environment for overnight guests . Your home should be suitable for dogs and allow you to provide appropriate supervision and care throughout their stay. Applicants may be asked questions about their home environment, household members, pets, yard/fencing, and overall availability. Having your own dog is welcome, provided your dog is comfortable around other dogs. Why Hound Lounge? This is more than simply watching a dog overnight.
